I’m Melissa Grant, and I moved to Silverdale eight years ago for what was supposed to be a temporary job in event management. Somewhere along the way, temporary turned into a mortgage, a divorce, and a house on the north side that I’m still slowly renovating. I now organize conferences and corporate events, which probably explains why I notice service more than most people do. I have a seventeen-year-old daughter who thinks most of my opinions are hilarious, usually for the wrong reasons. I love old houses, live music, weekend road trips and places that actually surprise me. I’m equally capable of spending too much on a great dinner or getting ridiculously excited about a perfect $4 taco. Silverdale can occasionally drive me nuts, but I’ve lived here long enough that everywhere else feels slightly wrong. I complain when something disappoints me, but I’m just as happy to tell everyone when something is genuinely great.
