Eleanor Whitmore Re-elected as Mayor of Silverdale

Silverdale has chosen continuity at City Hall. Mayor Eleanor Whitmore has been re-elected for a second term, defeating challenger Justin McAllistarin the city’s mayoral election.

Whitmore campaigned on maintaining Silverdale’s high standard of public services, continued investment in community wellbeing, and a careful approach to the city’s growth. McAllistar challenged her administration on transparency and the increasingly close relationship between city government and GRACE.

In her victory speech, Whitmore thanked residents for their confidence and promised to remain “a mayor for every part of Silverdale.”

Her second term begins next month. The final composition of the Silverdale City Council will be confirmed later this week.
